PhD candidate in computer science, science educator, sex educator, avid bicyclist, kinky. And that about sums it up.
I write scientific image-acquisition and analysis software for a living, and I use the term "living" very loosely. I take photographs for fun and art's sake. During the summer I ride my bicycle because I have this obsessive-compulsive need to balance on two wheels whilst hurtling down the road at 20 MPH and spinning my legs really fast. I do physics and astronomy education in area high schools as a visiting lecturer. I live in Alaska because I like it here.
My favorite number is CLXXIII.
To understand me, you will have to understand concepts like living a philosophically examined life, the analytical mindset, a respect for science and empiricism over superstition and guesswork, not suffering fools gladly, straightforward talk, a system of ethics similar to that of John Stuart Mill and Jean-Paul Sartre, and sarcastic humor. (I'm not saying you have to *like* any of these things - that's your business.)
